Testing after Migration is complete
After completing your migration, we highly recommend to do a final testing of all your Dashboards to see if your migration was successful. Depending on the amount of Dashboards and analytics within them, it is highly recommended to have a couple of team members to help with the testing.
Permission rights
Please keep in mind that the set permission rights can highly effect the results of your testing.
Here is a list of recommended scenarios to test:
- Check that the displayed data in your Jira Cloud Dashboards match the data in your former Jira Server Dashboards. E.g. do the overall logged hours for your projects, issues and team members match? Please note that they can differ from each other depending on how both instances are used and when the test is performed.
- Download and check the log file from the Exply Jira Cloud data source import, if there are any errors. Ensure that the import did run to get logs. You can download them by clicking on the "Download logs" button. If you see any errors, please get in touch with our Exply support team.
Take your time
It is important that you allow sufficient time for testing, as the time required is always underestimated. Make sure you allow time to make adjustments as needed. You may need additional time to repeat problems.
