Before you begin
Migrating your Exply server instance to the cloud is pretty straight forward. Here is everything you need to know before you begin.
File System Access
You will need to have access to the file system of your Jira Server instance in order to extract your Dashboard configurations and assets.

Update to the latest version
An update to the latest version of Exply is always recommended but not required.
About this Guide
This guide assumes that you are migrating from Jira Server to Jira Cloud and that you already migrated your Jira data to the new Cloud instance.
Things to keep in mind
- The migration requires no special knowledge about APIs or something else.
- Currently the migration requires an admin that has access to the Jira Server filesystem.
- The migration of your Jira Server data (and Tempo data - if applicable.) should be finished
- Exply for Jira Cloud should be installed in your new instance and have a valid license (paid or evaluation).
- Set the same time zone for your Jira Cloud and Jira Server instances
- For the migration to complete please contact us, so that we can import your Dashboards and assets to your new Jira Cloud instance.
